Friday Morning
Our knitting group meets every week. Today the talk was of bloody accidents, a joyful dog, various health and food issues, a violent movie, window washing, a blind itinerant vacuum cleaner salesman, upcoming concerts, and a proposed trip to Paris. If you sat quietly, it was like hearing a dozen radio stations playing at once. I worked on my circular scarf and the other Susan continued her elegant sweater. Across from me, Cheri was hand-spinning yarn from a bag of her dogs' fur. Linda was making a baby sweater, using blocks made from the wonderfully colored soft yarn on the table, and Lynn was helping Marcia set up an e-mail group on her laptop. Connie finished a very large orange purse that is now going to be felted, or shrunk, in the washer. Judy is still working on the cozy sleeper for the African baby project. Malene didn't do anything because she brought the wrong size needles, and Gaynelle couldn't knit at all because she hurt her arm, so she just talked. It was a lovely morning.
