Early in the morning we gathered up all the apples and pears that had dropped overnight. Then we made a big chocolate cake: it has coconut and walnuts and chocolate chips and grated apples! Next we canned some applesauce and I lined the golden jars up in rows on a clean towel. Now I am really really tired, but oh boy that stuff all tastes so good!

Thursday
