For the second afternoon in a row, this bee has come to rejoice in the artichoke flower in the kitchen garden. When I watch him burrow head first into the center of the bright purple thistle, I don't feel so bad about letting the artichoke go unpicked. He spends several long industrious minutes kicking up pollen before he flies away.

For the second afternoon in a row, this bee has come to rejoice in the artichoke flower in the kitchen garden.
