View From the Stockton Street Bridge
With a few minutes to spare between appointments this morning, I took a little stroll between cloudbursts. Not only did I find this lovely image, but serendipitously I came upon a construction site and was able to fill the trunk with scraps for next year's kindling. I never did find the yogurt that I needed, but that is precisely the definition of the word!
...coined by Horace Walpole in 1754, to describe the characters in a fairy tale called The Three Princes of Serendip: "... as their highnesses traveled, they were always making discoveries, by accidents and sagacity, of things which they were not in quest of..."
I would say my experience had much to do with accident, with very little owed to sagacity.
