For three nights, just at sunset, these funny clouds would attach themselves to the top of Halfdome, foiling the photographers who were hoping to make an iconic image of this astonishing mountain. There are more tripods and high-end cameras in Yosemite's meadows at sunset than you can shake a stick at, and anyway, it would only make them mad.
