Until late last night, the caterpillar was still a caterpillar, snugly attached to its stick. When I checked this morning he had shed his final skin, leaving it at the bottom of this new bright green chrysalis. Maybe I'll get lucky someday and be able to see him wiggle out of his striped suit.
