We passed this plant on our walk a few days ago, when there were no blossoms at all, just long pods at the top of a four foot hairy green stalk. Alan had to remind me twice today to walk up the hill and see what he had discovered early this morning: every pod had burst into an astonishing fragrant flower!

We passed this plant on our walk a few days ago, when there were no blossoms at all, just long pods at the top of a four foot hairy green stalk. Alan had to remind me twice today to walk up the hill and see what he had discovered early this morning: every pod had burst into an astonishing fragrant flower!
