We took a walk this afternoon and stopped to look at a wild blackberry patch at the side of the trail. Within 15 minutes we had spotted over a dozen different insects: ladybugs, beetles, damsel flies, grasshoppers, wasps, two kinds of bees, a regular old fly, and colorful things we had never seen before. I am so happy to be married to someone who thinks it's fun to stand in front of a thicket with sharp eyes and an open mind! He was actually the spotter and I was the ooh-er and ahh-er -- a good team.

It's Not Easy Being Green
We took a walk this afternoon and stopped to look at a wild blackberry patch at the side of the trail.
