Emergence

Or, more likely, Emergency.  Our third swallowtail revealed itself early this morning, but one of the delicate wings stuck to the glass of the tank and tore.  With much trepidation, we put him out in the back garden; the wing was definitely damaged and I couldn't imagine that he would be able to fly.  By the afternoon, he was gone from the perch, and later I saw a swallowtail dipping among the plants towards the front of the house, so it looks like he made it after all.
