Guardian of the Wood Pile

I don't know who was more startled, but this is why my camera is always in my pocket.  Just as I thought the season to see creatures in the yard had passed, this guy turned up to say hi.  There is a certain ick-factor to contend with here, but he does have the sweetest delicate feet and cute little rounded finger tips.
