It was a beautiful day today. We planted a new apple tree out by the back fence, an heirloom russet. It was so warm that I worked in a tank top all afternoon, and now I'm bundled up in a sweatshirt, waiting for the leftovers to heat up for dinner. I can smell the cream sauce all the way upstairs. None of this has anything to do with today's photo, except that it all points to a perfect day.
